POSITION:   

Day Camp Aquatics Staff (Summer 2012)

LOCATION: 

Various locations across the Chicagoland area

DUTIES:   

Spend the summer at one of the dynamic JCC’s premier Day Camps throughout the Chicagoland area! Join our enthusiastic, dedicated team and share your skills and talents with campers ages 4-12. 

Swim instructors are responsible for instructing children in group and private swim lessons and guarding free swim.  The JCC follows the American Red Cross “Learn to Swim” program in our swim classes. 

Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for all users.  General pool maintenance may be required.

SALARY RANGE:  

Summer Stipend 

REQUIREMENTS:  

Swim Instructors:  Knowledge of and experience teaching children in the American Red Cross “Learn to Swim” program; Water Safety Instructor (WSI) preferred.

Lifeguards:  Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid certification, as well as CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification required.
