POSITION:   

Musical Director, Children's Theater (PT)    

LOCATION: 

Mayer Kaplan JCC

DUTIES:   

As the Musical Director for The Music Man, responsibilities include teaching actors (ages eight-adult) song and harmonies for show, providing rehearsal cds of music, provide piano accompaniment for the production.

DAYS/HOURS:  

Auditions are Feb 13th - 15th; rehearsals are held a combination of Sunday (12:00-3:00pm) and Monday-Thursday (5:00-8:00pm); the Musical Director will not be needed at every rehearsal until the end of April.  Performances are Thursdays and Sunday (two shows) May 10th -20th, 2012.   

SALARY RANGE: 

Honorarium   

REQUIREMENTS:  

Degree in Theater, Music, Education or related.  Previous experience working with children in a theater environment with demonstrated proficiency playing piano required.
