POSITION:   

Human Resources Coordinator (PT)    

LOCATION: 

30 South Wells, Chicago

DUTIES:   

JCC Chicago is seeking a Coordinator to provide efficiency and administrative support to all areas of the Human Resources Department. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Payroll:

  • Review of part time timesheets.
  • Document review and data entry for part time staff.
  • Assist with payroll distribution.
  • Print and distribute regularly scheduled reports.
  • Assist with data entry and processing of camp payroll.
  • Assist with payroll problem resolution.

Benefits:

  • Maintain benefit packet master information.
  • Maintain spreadsheets tracking FMLA and Workers Compensation.
  • Assist Benefits Manager with insurance issues.
  • Proof monthly medical insurance bills and A/R.

Departmental:

  • Data entry and database management.
  • Development and management of forms and schedules.
  • Provide assistance with creation, management and distribution of various department reports.
  • Develop and maintain various spreadsheets.
  • Create, manage and distribute presentation materials.
  • Provide organizational assistance with mail, filing, and typing
  • Maintain the HR Intranet site, HR’s online directories and HR documentation.
  • Manage the calendarization of department projects, vacations, etc.
  • Code and submit department invoices to A/P.
  • Assist with staff Background Checks.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to all Agency members and staff.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

DAYS/HOURS:  


Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00am – 5:00pm preferred (with some
flexibility as needed).   

SALARY RANGE:  

Hourly  

REQUIREMENTS:  

College degree preferred, with a minimum 3 years administrative experience in an HR or office setting; must have high level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Internet; PowerPoint and HRIS experience preferred with the ability to learn other applications (e.g. Lotus Notes, Cognos, Serenic and JCC’s Intranet).  Typing 45wpm and figure and detail aptitude required.  Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) required; should be highly organized with ability to manage own workload with attention to priorities, timelines and deadlines; ability to work independently as well as in a strong team environment; ability to communicate in an effective and caring manner with staff and community members.  Ability and willingness to work additional hours at peak times a required; the ability to maintain strict confidentially within the agency and department a must! 

The successful candidate will have a desire to learn and grow in the HR field, demonstrate strong initiative and a commitment to working in a not for profit environment.  Good work ethic and desire to implement change are needed.
