Women’s Auxiliary of the Jewish Community Centers of Chicago is a dynamic group of volunteers committed to enriching the lives of Jewish children through fundraising efforts and social action programs. The annual “Summer of Smiles” fundraising campaign, Membership Drive, and Contribution Card sale provide scholarship assistance to those who need financial help to attend JCC’s Camp Chi and “Z” Frank Apachi Day Camp. Women’s Auxiliary volunteers also provide personal support, resource, and referral services to families and individuals in crisis through Project Chesed—a program designed to assist individuals and families at risk or in crisis. Women’s Auxiliary members volunteer as liaisons connecting those in need with appropriate referrals for social services, community resources, financial management and counseling for depression, divorce, abuse, and more. For more information about Project Chesed or for help, please call 312.553.3797 or email
