The JCC Elaine Frank Apachi Day Camp and Lake County Jewish Community Campus

Jewish Community Center of Chicago, in partnership with the Jewish Federation/Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago and the Jewish Federation's Facilities Corporation, has acquired a 37-acre parcel at Old McHenry Road and Half Day Road that will serve the burgeoning far north and northwest reaches of our Chicago-area community.

To be developed in stages, as funding becomes available, the new Lake County Jewish Community Campus will first house the JCC Elaine Frank JCC Apachi Day Camp that will serve nearly 1,000 children and teens each summer. The Camp's winterized facilities will also house programs to be offered by JCC's Northern Region (which currently includes the Jacob Duman JCC at Woodland Commons in Buffalo Grove and the Bernard Weinger JCC in Northbrook) throughout the rest of the year.

The second stage of development will include the addition of facilities that will house JCC's Early Childhood Services, as well as a gymnasium, an outdoor theater, and more - all as part of an extensive effort to reach out with JCC's life-enriching programs and services to more than 55,000 persons represented by in this increasingly dispersed demography.
