These are our children, too. And we’re proud to help each one of them grow into vital members of our community. Children live in Jewish time in our classrooms, where they celebrate Jewish holidays, develop a love for Israel, honor Shabbat and learn about the Torah. Our warm staff reinforce important everyday values that parents teach like gemilut chasadim (doing acts of kindness), hachnasat orchim (welcoming guests), and re’ut (friendship). We are part of the Kehilla Accreditation program for Jewish Early Childhood Education. Encouraging the building blocks of literacy is an important aspect of any early childhood program. Our literacy expert, embeds our curriculum and trains our staff with tools that children, including infants, need for learning. Our NAEYC-accredited program is continually reviewed for excellence in all aspects of early childhood learning. In locations with pools, children learn to become little “fish” in the water from certified instructors following the Red Cross “Learn to Swim” curriculum. Our teachers are always learning, too. Continuous training in and out of the classroom ensure staff are updated with strategies and tools to give children what they need to reach their potential. Our full-time social services team puts years of education and experience into workshops and programs that help families face the many challenges in their lives. And they are in the classrooms planning and implementing strategies to give our children the best possible learning experiences. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to reach their greatest potential. At JCC, we’re just as proud of your child as you are! |
