JCCs of North America Website JCCs of Chicago Will Open Day Camp on New Campus The JCCs of Chicago will open JCC Elaine Frank Apachi Day Camp in the summer of 2008, a new camp facility on a 37-acre site that will serve the northwest suburbs, the fastest growing Jewish community in metropolitan Chicago. The new facility will also serve the community with year-round early childhood programs in addition to camp programming. The site will feature two pools, manicured sports fields, an indoor space for specialty activities and rainy days, nature areas, hiking trails, a climbing wall and ropes course, picnic areas, multi-purpose courts for various sports, and more.
“Our newest camp’s innovative programs in combination with the wonderful facilities that we are creating will amaze and delight families in all the surrounding communities," said Gayle Malvin, director of JCC day camping. The Lake County Jewish Community Campus is a joint project of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago and Jewish Community Centers of Chicago. |
