On Wednesday, July 18 more than 100 campers and counselors participated in the "Day of Caring Day of Sharing" Program at the Hyde Park Jewish Community Center Summer Day Camp. This program enabled the campers to make 300 brown bag meals for those in need. The campers (ages 4 to 2nd grade) filled brown bags (decorated with their own artwork) full of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cookies, chips, granola bars and drinks. The meals were then donated to the Lakeview Pantry for distribution.
