Junior Explorers (3 and 5 Day options)

4-Year-Olds
Set the stage for your child’s lifelong love of camp. Junior Explorers will feel safe and secure with counselors specially trained to work with young campers. Small group activities including sports, games, art, dance and music emphasize participation, building confidence and having fun. Campers swim twice daily with one period of American Red Cross Swim instruction and one period of supervised water play.

Explorers

K–3rd Grade
The Explorers’ high-energy day focuses on skill-building, trying new activities, boosting self-esteem and forging new friendships. Days include individual and team sports, performance and mixed media-arts as well as twice daily swim, with one period for American Red Cross instruction and another for free swim. Field trips and undernighters increase independence and self-reliance.

Pioneers

4th–7th Grade
The Pioneer’s self-guided schedule keeps the experienced camper asking for more. Create a personalized summer by choosing among competitive and individual athletics and cultural, performance, fine arts and more. Campers cool off twice daily in our beautiful pools with one period for American Red Cross instruction and one period for free play. Weekly field trips and two undernighters add to the fun. Weekly off-site choice activities such as bowling, cooking and outdoor adventure add excitement.

Counselor-In-Training (CIT)

8th–10th Grade
Leaders of tomorrow participate in this fun-challenging training program that develops leadership and communication skills, and provides a great opportunity for older campers who like working with young children to become role models. Successful completion of this program makes the CIT eligible to apply for a staff position the summer before entering 11th grade. Interview required.

3rd–6th Grade | Aug 11–14
Kids can find out what it’s like to go to an authentic sleep-away camp, but for a shorter period of time. Campers explore all the great overnight camp activities with counselors who specialize in easing the transition.

This one-of-a-kind, day plus overnight camp combo experience is a great way for campers to ease into the joys of overnight camp. Campers bond with their counselors and camp groups at day camp for two weeks before traveling to Camp Chi for two weeks of overnight camp excitement, adventure and personal development. Then, it’s back to Day Camp to enjoy four more weeks of sun-filled fun. A real sweet deal.
