Juniors and Junior Explorers will feel safe and secure with counselors specially trained to work with young campers. Small group activities including daily American Red Cross swim instruction, sports, games, art, dance and music emphasize participation, building confidence and having fun. Register for full–day Junior Explorers if your child transitions easily and is ready for a non–stop, high energy all–day experience. Explorers  K–2nd grade The Explorers’ high–energy day focuses on skill–building, trying new activities, boosting self–esteem and forging new friendships. Groups are single–gender and grade specific with new options each summer. Days include individual and team sports and mixed media–arts. Campers enjoy daily American Red Cross swim instruction and free swim. Field trip frequency and destinations grow with your child’s increasing independence and self–reliance.
Trailblazer Arts & Trailblazer Sports  3rd–6th Grade The Trailblazer’s self–guided schedule keeps the experienced camper asking for more. Mornings are spent on areas of personal interest while afternoons are spent enjoying everything Apachi Chicago Day Camp has to offer.
Participate in all camp activities including swimming, art, sports, all–camp events, American Red Cross Swim instruction and free swim, plus more field trips than ever before. Each camper will customize their summer experience by selecting 4–week, hour– long electives to participate in 3 times per week. Electives may include tennis, swim team, dance/drama/music, sports and arts of all sorts. Trailblazer Sports. The Trailblazer Arts or Trailblazer Sports track determines camp group assignment. - Trailblazer Arts campers spend the first part of their morning, four days a week, focused on crafts and culinary and performing arts such as yoga, cooking, pottery, musical theater or jewelry making.
- Trailblazer Sports focuses on sportsmanship and personal growth. Sports campers kick off their day, four days a week,with a combination of soccer, basketball, flag football and/or baseball drills and game play.
Choose between Arts or Sports for eight weeks or enjoy both for four weeks each. The Trailblazer program combines the best of traditional day camp with activities to capture and hold the interests of your camper. Apa •Chi +2  Day/Overnight Camp Combo 4th–7th grade This one-of-a-kind, day plus overnight camp combo experience is a great way for campers to ease into the joys of overnight camp. Campers bond with their counselors and camp groups at day camp for two weeks before traveling to Camp Chi for two weeks of overnight camp excitement, adventure and personal development. Then, it’s back to Day Camp to enjoy four more weeks of sun-filled fun. A real sweet deal.
