No other day camp can match the caring, experience, dedication and expertise of our talented and hard-working camp personnel. We pride ourselves on hiring, training and retaining top-rate staff who have years of experience working with children and a love of the camp experience. Unit directors are teachers and social workers with experience in education, camping and recreation. Counselors are mature college and high school students who have completed our intensive training program. The camp staff is CPR/ First Aid certified and trained to provide your child the highest level of care.

Mayer Kaplan JCC Day Camp Director

Mara Rothschild has been the Director at Mayer Kaplan JCC Day Camp for over a decade and has successfully built a strong camp community. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Study and brings over 20 years of experience in JCC day and overnight camp. Mara has a knack for making campers feel comfortable and is known for her easy-going attitude. As a strong leader she gives her all towards making sure that campers and their families have an excellent summer experience.
