JCC Day Camp at the Anita M. Stone Community Center
ProgramsJuniors 3-4 Year-Olds Our Juniors summer program is designed to provide “big kid” camp excitement for your child and piece of mind for you. Small group sizes give each child the attention he or she needs to have a positive camp experience. Juniors engage in a full spectrum of activities where the emphasis is on building confidence, making friends and having fun. Campers take part in daily American Red Cross swim instruction, sports and arts & crafts, led by nurturing and experienced staff. Pathfinders K & 1st Grade The Pathfinder’s non-stop schedule focuses on building campers’ skills, boosting their self-esteem and exposing them to new activities. Campers swim daily with time for both instructional and free swim. Field trips and a special parent night make this a great environment to grow. Kindergarten groups are co-ed and have the option of 3 or 5 days (3-day campers do not go on field trips). Pioneers 2nd & 3rd Grade Pioneer campers gain independence and strengthen leadership skills, take on new challenges and build lifelong friendships. Campers swim twice daily with one period devoted to swim instruction. Choosing their own specialty activities, heading out of camp for field trips and enjoying a late night at camp encourage independence. Voyagers4th–6th Grade Our seasoned campers put their own twist on the camp day by choosing the specialty activities that interest them most. Campers swim twice each day with one period devoted to instruction, and take a field trip each week to great destinations around Chicagoland. Voyagers also enjoy a special overnighter at camp. Sports Camp4th–6th Grade This all-action camp emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork and personal growth through fun skill drills, daily game play and team-building activities. Campers swim twice daily (one period devoted to instruction) and enjoy a variety of field trips each week to sports outings and other exciting attractions. 4+4: Spend the Whole Summer with JCC Camps 4th–7th grades Campers get the best of both worlds—four weeks of fun at a JCC Day Camp and four exciting weeks at JCC Camp Chi.
