Chicago Area Teens Gather for Summer Camp-Themed Shabbat PDF Print E-mail

What: Second annual "Shabbat at Camp Chi" sponsored by Chi Town Connection.

Who: Over 120 teenagers from Chicago and the surrounding suburbs will gather to celebrate Shabbat, with a summer camp-in-the-winter theme.

When: March 7, 6:00 to 9:30pm

Where: 300 Revere Dr., Northbrook, IL

Why: Encourage Chicago area teens to gather to celebrate Shabbat with their peers and also to reconnect with friends from summer camp (Camp Chi).

How: Pre-service socialization, Shabbat services, dinner, and a song session.

Who: Chicago area teens, ages 14 to 18, who are interested in experiencing Shabbat with their peers.

About Chi Town Connection 

Chi Town Connection is JCC's year round program for teens, an exciting opportunity for Jewish teens in Chicago to make new friends and interact year-round. It is a group where the teen can take on a leadership role or participate in programs that they choose. Members of Chi Town Connection have the option to take part in leadership training, community service, and other exciting teen programs. The Chi Town Connection, which is made up of 40 teens from Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, meets on a regular basis to help plan, program, and recruit teens for all of the events.
