POSITION: Administrative Aide LOCATION: Bernard Weinger JCC, Northbrook DUTIES: Provide daily administrative and project support to the Regional Director and Bernard Weinger JCC program departments including Adult Services, Recreation Services, Membership and Children’s Services among others. Specific duties include (but are not limited to): • Provide outstanding customer service to center members, visitors, and staff by responding in a pleasant manner, maintaining an appropriate and positive image of the center at all times and being knowledgeable about regional programming. • Handle busy front desk and telephones when coverage is needed. • Create flyers, postcards, program punch cards, and signs for program departments, • Facilitate birthday party registrations, coordinate party staff and supplies. • Notify Membership Director and front desk of upcoming building closures that coordinate with Federation closings. • Notify JVS of any events in the building that may affect their operations. • Coordinate room reservations for the Bernard Weinger JCC. • Enter all holiday schedules into the BWJCC room reservation database to accurately reflect building closures. • Collaborate with the Creative Department, Program Directors, and Executive Director to track all marketing efforts in the Northern Region. • Collaborate with the Creative Department, Program Directors, and Executive Director to track marketing expenses. • Work with the Creative Department and Program directors to compile and edit quarterly program guides. • Work with the Creative department to submit the content for the monthly JUF ad. • Work with the Creative department to submit the content for the monthly, “What the Buzz newsletter.” • Work with the Oaklee’s guide to submit Northern Region programming to their seasonal publications. • Facilitate staff telephone changes; • Print and distribute fundware reports to program directors; DAYS/HOURS: Monday through Friday 9 am – 5 pm SALARY RANGE: Union Scale REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors degree preferred; excellent communication and customer service skills; must have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Internet, and email with the ability to learn other programs as needed; typing speed of 45 wpm; demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative, but also able to seek help when needed and foster a strong team environment; must be able to multi-task and show flexibility managing multiple priorities.
