Aquatics Staff (PT)
    

LOCATION:  

Bernard Weinger JCC, Northbrook

DUTIES:   

Swim instructors are responsible for instructing children in group and private swim lessons.  The JCC follows the American Red Cross “Learn to Swim” program in our swim classes. 

Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for all users.  General pool maintenance may be required.

DAYS/HOURS:   

Lifeguards:  
      Monday-Thursday, various shifts between 10:00am-9:30pm
      Friday, various shifts between 9:00am-5:30pm
      Saturday, various shifts 1-6pm/Sunday 9:00am-6:30pm

Swim Instructors: 
      Monday-Thursdays, various shifts between 9:00am-6:00pm
      Sundays, various shifts between 9:30am-3:00pm

SALARY RANGE:  

Hourly 

REQUIREMENTS:  

Swim Instructors:  Knowledge of and experience teaching children in the American Red Cross “Learn to Swim” program; Water Safety Instructor (WSI) preferred.

Lifeguards:  Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid certification, as well as CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification required.
